Curriculum
Alberto Tesi è nato a Lamporecchio (PT) il 5 maggio 1957. È Professore Ordinario presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell'Università degli Studi di Firenze, dove dal 1992 tiene il corso di Controlli Automatici. Dal 1990 afferisce al Dipartimento di Sistemi e Informatica della stessa Università. È stato Preside della Facoltà di Ingegneria dal 1 novembre 2006 al 31 ottobre 2009 e Rettore dell'Università degli Studi di Firenze dal 1 novembre 2009 al 31 ottobre 2015.
È stato editore associato delle riviste IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems (1994-1995), IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control (1995-1998) e Systems and Control Letters (1995-2010). È stato membro della conference editorial board per la Conference on Decision and Control (1994-1999) e la American Control Conference (1995-2000), e membro del comitato di programma di numerose conferenze. E' stato membro del Policy Committee of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) (2008-2011).
Gli interessi di ricerca riguardano l'analisi di sistemi non lineari, il controllo robusto di sistemi lineari e le tecniche di ottimizzazione. E' coautore di circa 180 pubblicazioni a carattere scientifico.

Alberto TESI
Curriculum
Alberto Tesi was born in 1957, received the Laurea degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Florence, in 1984, and the Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Bologna, in 1989. In 1990 he joined the Department of Systems and Computer Science of University of Firenze, as a research assistant. He is currently a Professor of Control Systems at the Engineering Faculty of University of Florence. He was Dean of the Engineering Faculty (2006-2009) and Rector of the University of Florence (2009-2015).
He was associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems (1994-1995), IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control (1995-1998) and Systems and Control Letters (1995-2010). He was member of the conference editorial board of the Conference on Decision and Control (1994-1999) and the American Control Conference (1995-2000), and member of the program committee of several international conferences. He was member of the Policy Committee of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) (2008-2011).
His research interests are mainly in analysis of nonlinear dynamics of complex systems, robust control of linear systems and optimization. He is coauthor of about 180 scientific publications.
